FOR LOVE OR MONEY

USA 1993
CINEMATOGRAPHY: OLIVER WOOD
MUSIC: BRUCE BROUGHTON
CAST: Michael J. Fox, Gabrielle Anwar, Anthony Higgins
ONE WORD: Michael J. Fox is fun to watch as usual...

The best thing in this film is Michael J. Fox, and the fact that he is always so smooth and easy to go along with. The worst thing, is that it is predictable as hell.

But it is a fun piece of schlock about a concierge in an up scale hotel, who knows all the ins and outs of the job and knows how to satisfy all the customers with the little perks here and there, which make their stay so special. In the process, he gets involved with a gentleman who could finance his dream project, but who is a bastard at heart. But in the end he not only gets lucky, even the bad things that happen everyday at the hotel, are still special and make the adventure come true.

He happens to take a liking to a girl that works in one of the hotel's shops, but his luck is not good since she is a bit of a sucker for a rich guy intent on just picking up anyone who sets his desire going.

The movie has some rather slick bits... check out Michael J. Fox and the perfume on the old lady.... you would buy it from him ... other than that the film is just ... another one of those fun films that you watch for entertainment ... don't come here for meanings ... this is just fun stuff!
